Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
As a few of you may have guessed by my constant unsuccessful attempts to bring it up on other message boards, I have a HUGE obsession with The Edge Chronicles, by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell. You don't have to know anything about the books, however, to appreciate my drawings.
By the way, as you can see from my signature on the drawings, my real name is Matthew Chapman.
This is a side view image of the Edge. In this book series, this is the world.
This is my drawing of the Foundry Glades.
This is my drawing of the Free Glades.
This is my drawing of the city of Great Glade.
This is my drawing of the Great Shryke Slave Market.
This is my drawing of the city of Hive.
This is my drawing of Orbix Xaxis getting vaporized by a lightning bolt.
This is my drawing of the floating city of Sanctaphrax.
This is my drawing of Rook Barkwater finding the wreckage of his skycraft in Screetown.
This is my drawing of Twig and the Professor of Light in the Twilight Woods.
This is my drawing of the city of Undertown.
This is my drawing of Vilnix Pompolnius falling to his death.

Man, it looks more huge than Paris with all of those houses, and I can't belive you did that, and on a paper FTW. That's seriously one of the most amazing pics I ever saw!fawfulfan wrote:

Re: Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
OMG an Edge Chronicles Mod? THAT would be hard...but I'd go into shock with happiness if someone made one.
It's never been specifically revealed how big all this stuff is, but by my own guess, it's actually probably bigger than the whole nation of France. If you were to zoom in, you'd see that each of those "houses" is actually enormous.

Wow, you have a lot of detail. Very nice. I didn't look at all of them but, wow. There are some awsome drawings there.

Wow, there are some impressive drawings here, Falfulfan, you put a lot of detail into these. Do you plan on coloring any of them in?
This one's my favorite. :PFawfulfan wrote:

Re: Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
There is about a 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of me trying to color these in. Coloring wouldn't go well with the kind of shading I do, and they haven't invented a marker thin enough for me to color some of those tiny buildings. Thanks for your comments, though. There's actually another drawing that I'm still working on, which I might put up soon.
Re: Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
I look forward to seeing it whenever you get to post it. :P And yeah, coloring them in on paper would be a pain. You could always blow up the image in Gimp/Photoshop (Or whatever Image Manipulation program you use.) and color it on the PC from there. Although I bet it would take forever to finish even one drawing that way.

Re: Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
There's also the issue that I like to leave the colors up to the imagination of the viewer. Practically none of the illustrations in the real books were colored, so I don't have a frame of reference. All I would know is the sky and water is blue, and the the surrounding Deepwoods is dark green.

I have two more pictures to present here.
This is my drawing of the Great Shryke Slave Market.
This is my drawing of the city of Hive.

Re: Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
Thanks! Have any of you guys actually READ The Edge Chronicles? If you haven't you REALLY should.
Re: Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
It was referred to me. I didn't read it, instead i've read the inkheart series and the charlie bone series and the inheritance series.

Re: Fawfulfan's Edge Landscapes
Oh, I've read Inheritance and Charlie Bone! I couldn't get into Inkheart though. I still really recommend the Edge Chronicles...have my drawings not aroused your curiosity?
