Believe...
In the beginning there was boredom.
Knowing that Man toiled in unenjoyment, the Gods, filled with the light of True Entertainment, came together and said "Let there be Gaming," and there was Gaming. And the Gods saw that the Gaming was good. This was the first stage.
And the Gods said "Let Gaming know no boundaries," and Gaming was to be enjoyed in all possible forms, in all corners of the Earth, by all creatures capable. And the Gods saw it was good. And this was the second stage.
Then the Gods, wise in their ways and knowing that Gaming should be all-encompassing, said, "Let there be Genres," and each of the Gods created a Genre, seven in number, one for each God of Gaming. The seven Glorious Genres from which all Gaming and other Genres would be born. And this was the third stage.
And the Gods said, "Let us make Gamers in our own image, diverse and varied, to rule over all the Games on Earth."
So the Gods created Gamers in their own image, in the image of Gods they created them; male and female, tall and short, thick and thin, they created them, Gamers all.
The Gods blessed them and said, "Be joyous and open-armed with Gaming,; experience all it has to offer. Rule over Gaming with all the skill you can muster."
Then the Gods said, "We give you every Genre, every Game, digital and otherwise, portable and otherwise. They will be yours for Entertainment."
And it was so.
The Gods saw all that they had made, and it was very good. And this was the final stage.
Thus Gaming, once in the pasttime of the Gods, was given to Man, in all it's vast array.
By the end of the final stage the Gods had completed the work, and so after the final stage the Gods rested from their work. They took up their controllers, and the Gods blessed all days of rest, for they were made for Gaming.
In the name of the W, the A, the S, and the D.
The up arrow, the right arrow, the down arrow, the left arrow.
For these are the all-encompassing controls of Gaming.
Let us begin today's sermon.

Re: Believe...
Yeah, being Catholic, this was offensive to me.
And this is why on my upcoming site making jokes about someone else's religion will give you the same marks as making racist or sexist remarks.

Re: Believe...
Hmm, that's a good idea!

Although, yes I know what you mean. Although I don't care, I have no religion, most probably scientology (or Jedi if possible).

Re: Believe...
I'm Catholic, and it doesn't make such a big deal to me.
Though, I guess "each to their own opinion" could be used for this.
Well, if anything, here's the site I got it from (though the sermon part was Ctrl+Alt+Del, who actually created the site anyway). http://churchofgaming.com/index.html

Re: Believe...
Then numerous gods came after seeing that there's no more boredom in the planet, and some of them leaved their mark, more or less...

Re: Believe...
Well, after a bit of thinking, I request this to be locked and trashed. If it's offensive, then it shouldn't be here.
Re: Believe...
Locked by request, although, I won't trash yet. Just leave that to Chisuun, he's the one who believed it was offesive. I'm sure he has a reason.
